1. Who we are

This website is run by Catalyst Glass and Aluminum Ltd., 25771 102 Ave, Maple Ridge, BC, Canada. In these terms, "Catalyst", "we" and "us" mean Catalyst Glass and Aluminum Ltd., and "you" means the person using the site.

2. General information only

The content on this site, including product information, performance figures, energy targets and Step Code guidance, is general information. It is not engineering, architectural, energy, legal or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice about your own project. Codes, standards and product specifications change. Check anything important with the official source, your energy advisor, your designer or engineer, or your local building authority before you rely on it.

3. Step Code calculator and estimates

The Step Code calculator and any figures, ranges or estimates shown on this site are indicative only. They are based on general assumptions and on the information you enter, and they may not reflect your building, its design or its energy model. They are not a quote, and they do not confirm that a product or project will meet the BC Energy Step Code or any other requirement. Compliance is confirmed through your project's own energy modelling and the authority having jurisdiction.

4. Quotes and contracts

Sending a quote request does not create a contract, and nothing on this site is an offer to supply or install anything. A quote or estimate we send you is based on the information available at the time and can change as we learn more about the project, for example after a site visit, a drawing revision or a supplier update.

We are only committed to supply or install, and you are only committed to pay, under a written agreement signed by both of us. The terms of that agreement, including price, schedule and warranty, govern the work. If anything on this site conflicts with a signed agreement, the agreement applies.

5. Files and information you send us

When you send us drawings, photos, reports or other information, you confirm that:

• You have the right to share them with us
• They do not contain viruses or other harmful code, and do not infringe anyone else's rights
• We may share them with manufacturers, suppliers and trade partners when needed to quote or carry out your project, as described in our Privacy policy

Your files remain yours. We use them only for your enquiry and project. Please make sure the information you give us is accurate, because our quote depends on it.

We may refuse or delete any submission that breaks these terms.

6. Our content

The Catalyst name and logo, and the text, photographs, design and code of this site, belong to Catalyst or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own use, for example to plan a project. You may not copy, republish or use them commercially without our written permission.

Manufacturer and product names shown on this site are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to identify the products and systems we work with. Their use does not mean those companies endorse Catalyst.

7. The site is provided as is

We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it is complete, accurate, up to date or free of errors, or that it will always be available.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Catalyst is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website, the Step Code calculator or the quote request form, including indirect or consequential loss.

This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have under consumer protection law. Our responsibility for work we carry out for you is set by your signed agreement with us, not by these website terms.

9. Links to other sites

This site links to other websites, such as government pages, manufacturer sites and social media. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about these terms or this site will be decided in the courts of British Columbia. If you have a concern, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to sort it out.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms in force when you use the site apply to that use.
