I've always believed that good glazing starts long before installation. By the time a window, door, or curtain wall system arrives on site, most of the important decisions have already been made. The challenge is understanding how those decisions affect performance, constructability, and the long-term success of the building. That's the part of the work I've always enjoyed most: helping clients make informed decisions, solving problems early, and making sure the finished result performs the way it was intended to.
Mike Curtis, President & European Fenestration Specialist
At Catalyst, we help architects, builders, developers, and glazing contractors bring complex building envelope and façade projects from concept to completion.
Based in Maple Ridge and serving the Lower Mainland and beyond, we specialize in the planning, sourcing, coordination, and installation of high-performance glazing systems for residential, commercial, institutional, and architectural projects.
Our work begins long before materials arrive on site. We collaborate with project teams to understand performance requirements, design intent, constructability, and budget considerations, ensuring the right systems are selected for every application. From curtain walls and windows to specialty façades and custom architectural glazing, we bridge the gap between design vision and successful execution.
Over the years, we have developed strong relationships with leading European and North American manufacturers, allowing us to source innovative, high-performance products that meet the demands of today’s buildings. But products alone are never the solution. Success comes from understanding how systems perform, how they integrate with the building, and how they can be installed efficiently in the real world.
Our experience includes luxury custom homes, Passive House projects, commercial developments, institutional facilities, and architecturally significant buildings throughout British Columbia. We have contributed to projects including the UBC Museum of Anthropology, Simon Fraser University’s Marianne and Edward Gibson Art Museum, and numerous custom residential and mixed-use developments across the province.
We are not simply suppliers, and we are not just installers.
We are project partners who understand the technical, logistical, and practical challenges that come with delivering exceptional building envelope solutions.
When the details matter, the timelines are demanding, and the scope is complex, clients trust Catalyst to help get it right.
